Propped Up

Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ…

Romans 16.25

The Greek word transalted "establish" comes from to the word meaning "to prop." God props us up. And what does that say of us other than we need propping! I have heard some professed Christians speak of becoming stronger as the years go by. I am a stranger to that process. I feel weaker now than before, less qualified than in days gone by. I am certain that if God does not "prop me up," I shall fall, as did the walls of Jericho. But that is why Paul's words are there. We weak and crumbling walls can be sure that God is sufficient to "prop us up," so that we do not fall. Is that not a blessed comfort? To Him be the glory! -Joe
